Malcolm Timms
Malcolm trained as an engineer and gained his first board appointment at the age of 32, of a subsidiary of FTSE 250 Company. Working extensively in the private sector, Malcolm became recognised as a ‘safe pair of hands’ where major project work was required. In the 90s, his setting up of a highly successful inward investment project brought his project skills to the attention of the Public Sector. As a non-executive director of Merseyside TEC, he took a lead role in the rise of the enterprise culture on Merseyside. Further roles included membership of a SRB 4 award panel, and extensive work on ERDF and ESF funding awards.
Recent Achievements:
- 2006 to 2007 Mentor and Adviser to large garden centre in Lancashire.
- 2007 Board mentor to £0.6 million t/o Specialist Office Interiors Design Company
- 2005 6 month assignment implementing management systems in a 30 bedded Charity managed residential home including organising financial year end activities.
- 2003 – 2004 Recovered £6million t/o inward investment project from closure and repositioned it as a major supplier to German automotive industry.
- 2000 -2002 Set up 8 accredited NVQ delivery centres across the North West for major sub contractor to Department of Work and Pensions.
